Essential Rainy Day Mix

April is the cruelest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain
— T.S. Eliot

I used to have a little music blog. I tended to it like I'd tend to a mix cd** I'd make for a friend: meticulously. My favorite thing in the world used to be making a playlist for someone, thinking of how to order a track list just right so they'd have the perfect emotional balance upon finishing it. (Yes, High Fidelity is one of my favorite movies.) I ain't gonna take you down low without bringing you back up for a bit of air first. So trust me when I say: I've got this whole rainy day playlist covered. What better way to embrace this weather, anyway, than with the perfect blend of music? Entrust your rainy day to me and I promise you'll live to tell the tale. From the melancholy to the melodic, the relaxing to the romantic, just sit back and sink into the season with these cozy tracks. And while you're at it, tell me what you've been listening to because I always need some good suggestions.

**those are still a thing.
