What does Scotch & The Fox mean to you?

S&TF is a cool place for women to let loose, be themselves and learn from each other. Also, it's cozy and has a home-y feel to it -- like you can curl up and stay here for awhile.

Describe yourself in 5 words or less:

Curious, passionate, sensitive, playful, determined (bossypants is a close sixth)

What's playing in your car/iPod right now?

Not ashamed to admit: Taylor Swift, on repeat. Some John Mayer too, just to make things even more complicated and dramatic.

Tell us about the last dream you remember having.

I have a recurring dream since I was a kid that has me getting my foot stuck in an escalator at the mall. I equate that with my fear of standing still and doing the same thing over and over again. That, and my fear of malls.

If you were a nail polish, what would your name be?

Sass with Soul.

How have you grown as a woman in the past 5 years?

I've learned to love myself, as is. I got a tattoo a couple years ago that says: "Do you," which basically means -- don't look at anyone else's plate. Focus on yours because you have enough, you are enough. Do you what love and what makes you feel good, and everything else will -- and does -- fall into place.

You're throwing your dream dinner party. 6 people dead or alive can come. Who's on the list?

Mindy Kaling, David Sedaris, Nora Ephron, Tina Fey and Dorothy Parker -- to make me laugh and to inspire me. Benedict Cumberbatch to make eyes with me across the table, and maybe play footsie.

What's your go-to outfit?

Skinny jeans, a neutral silk shirt or sweater (black, grey or white) and flats. And always a watch.

You're Prime Minister for a day. What's the first issue you tackle?

Women's rights.

What's on your pizza?

Lots of cheese, olives and mushrooms.

Why is red wine your drink of choice?

I've been drinking it since I was 18 when I was living Italy. It's both sophisticated and snuggly: you can easily drink it at a posh bar in a LBD,  as well as in front of a roaring fireplace in pjs. It also pairs perfectly with my favorite food in the world: cheese.

What's your favorite thing about Toronto?

My folks and my best childhood friends live here.
