Kayla Parks is a dreamer and dabbler, doing her best to embrace being perpetually lost in the world. As a style-lover, she spends her free time pining over beautiful things she could never wear or afford. Writing is her passion and she has spent her entire life curating material to use in her eventual nonfiction best seller, tentatively titled, “My Long-Term Memory Is Excellent: I Hope You Were Nice to Me.”

Independent, loyal, guarded, curious, witty.
What's playing in your car/iPod right now?
Since going through old CDs at my parent's house it's been: "Whitney Houston's Greatest Hits (Disc 2: PUMP IT UP);" Britney Spears, "...Baby One More Time;" Destiny's Child, "The Writing's On the Wall;" and what I think is the only 3LW CD to ever exist. Tell us about the last dream you remember having.
I was asleep in my room and woke up in my dream (Inception??). My pillow and curtains were catching on fire. It was so real; I could smell the smoke. My mom came just in time to put the fire out, but it started again as soon as she left.
If you were a nail polish, what would your name be?
Clear. Simple and pretty.

A woman’s access (or lack thereof) to abortion.

Black olives and mushrooms.
Why is a dirty martini your drink of choice?
A dirty martini is “country club classy” yet it’s essentially just a glass of hard liquor. Also, it makes sense economically. A “one and done” cocktail, if you will.
What's your favorite thing about MPLS?
You can see the stars at night.
